In this post, I’m sharing my top 5 favorite Trim Healthy Mama lunches I love.
Have you ever done Keto? I did Keto and Ideal Protein back to back. My weight loss was significant. There was something inside me that wondered there had to be a better way. How can a person maintain eating this way? I’m not knocking Keto. It was an excellent weight loss diet that worked.
Just imagine life with out bread or potatoes.

What if I told you getting slim is possible eating those foods? I say, sign me up! My Trim Healthy Mama journey started with Keto training under my belt. I knew the ins and outs of eating S meals. It’s like Keto in the THM world. E meals were scary. I felt like I was committing a crime. Pearl Bennett, one of the authors of the Trim Healthy Mama book, here, shared her testimony how E meals did wonders to her changing body. I didn’t need to hear anymore, I delved right in. This first E meal is my absolute favorite. Check out my other E meals I have for breakfast here.
Trim Healthy Mama lunch No. 1
E meal – Sourdough BBQ chicken sandwich with Light Laughing Cow and Lettuce (see my recipe here). Apple Cranberry Crisp (recipe). Fresh cranberries are seasonal and hard to find year round. I used dried cranberries (here) for this recipe. Talk about delicious! I think this is my favorite. I’m inspiring myself to make this immediately.
E meal – E is for easy salad with added basil leaves. It has Light Tuna, golden delicious apple, apple cider vinegar with gentle sweet mixed in, fresh chopped basil all over half a head of romaine lettuce. This is a quick and delicious lunch. The apple cider vinegar has the added gentle sweet to counter the tangy taste. The sweet apple adds just the right flavor to this simple meal. You could add a slice of sourdough bread. It is a filling salad and usually doesn’t need anything more. Accept maybe a serving of that Cranberry Apple Crisp from above. Yum!
S meal – Original Taco Salad pg. 347 from the original Trim Healthy Mama cookbook. Similar recipe for THM Taco Salad is here. The THM milk chocolate bar and Dr. Zevia pop. I mean, hello! This is an amazing meal, right? The tip to making this extra slimming is rinsing the ground beef of any extra oil. You can take boiling hot water from a kettle or coffee pot and pour over the ground beef that is in a colander or strainer, like the one here. Everyone needs a taco salad in their life. I know I do. The sugar free ketchup that I love is the G Hughes Gluten Free, Sugar Free Ketchup. I’ve found it at Walmart and some grocery stores. I purchase them on Amazon Here.
S meal – This is the Perfect Pizza from the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook. Here’s a link to a copycat recipe. I used the Primal Kitchen BBQ ranch dressing. Here’s what it looks like, link. For dessert I made the Choco Peanut Shake or Shake Gone Nuts.
E meal – Potato Hash with one cubed gold potato, 4 oz. chicken, chopped red peppers, 2 tbs corn and one egg. Sautee the already cooked chicken with chopped vegetables. Add the whisked egg after cooking the main ingredients. Cook until egg is fully done. I had broccoli with ranch and the Apple Crisp. The recipe is actually from Briana Thomas, here. It’s the Cranberry, Apple and Pear Crisp. Yum! Did I not tell you, you can have a potato? Yes, this is a real deal. It’s actually an easy meal to put together if you prep ahead by cooking some chicken, baking some gold, red or sweet potatoes. And of course making the Cranberry, Apple and Pear Crisp ahead of time. Love this meal. includes bread and potatoes. Now, that’s a win!
I hope this gave you ideas and inspiration of Trim Healthy Mama lunches.
